The unknown, the least seen, the hidden, the colorful, the beautiful ... Mountains, Light, Reflections, Seasons, Animals, Flowers ... Playful camera, creative experiments, metal ... Macro, close-up, wide-angle ... to name only a few.
Fascinated by what the eye does not detect 'at first sight', fascinated by the look through my camera lens, turning, narrowing, widening, changing ... I love to create.
I am a silkpainter and photographer, combining my two big passions. Both are unique creations ... photography is often the base of my painting.
Within my photographic work you will find a lot of close-ups, mountains, nature, but also unusual objects under a new light and/or generally used objects becoming unusual. I love colors, reflections, light ...
This brings me to my roots: I feel very privileged to have been brought up in a mountain village in central Switzerland, being surrounded by gorgeous nature and living everyday with all the phenomenons appearing in mountain areas. I now live in Montreal, Canada, and am preparing for an exhibition within KOKU 2012 in Germany in April 2012. Somehow, my roots are still very much oriented towards Europe. And it was with great pleasure that I accepted this wonderful invitation. I will show my photographic work within the virtual (projected on giant screens) exhibition and shall be - if possible - personally present with my silk wall art (wall hangings), which, of course, will also be for sale.
With this being said, I am proud of being part of FineArtAmerica and to share with the world what I love to create.
