I’m an independent photographer with a particular interest in architectural and portrait photography. Recently, I’ve been exploring abstracts.
My hometown is Bristol in England. I’m from an army family, and I’m lucky to have called Northern Ireland, Germany and Zimbabwe home too. I now live in Vancouver, Canada.
I’ve always had a passion for art. I was awarded an art scholarship to senior school, where my interest in photography was sparked. I completed an Art Foundation course after school and went on to study for a degree at Bristol Polytechnic, hoping to specialize in fashion photography. The opportunity to specialize didn't materialize and feeling frustrated, I decided to change tack. And so I began a career in real estate. Of course, my interest in photography didn’t go away. I completed evening classes, and I undertook photography projects whenever the opportunity arose.
Since moving to Vancouver in 2002, and thanks to an extremely patient family, I’ve been able to continue to feed my obsession for photography. Vancouver is an amazing, culturally diverse city, surrounded by mountains and ocean, and there is plenty to inspire me here.
Past photo projects include website work, real estate marketing, family portraiture, band promotion and corporate art.
