I have been a keen photographer since getting my first camera and it is one of my favourite past times. I adore how a picture can capture the essence of its subject and provide an illustration that can be both attractive and absorbing. I genuinely believe that a picture which makes someone stop and look or simply say ‘wow’ is a truly successful shot.
Photography can bring out the best in anything if the right approach is taken and I am always learning and developing new techniques or approaches and can spend hours in search of new and exciting photographic opportunities. I am currently studying for my diploma from the photography institute which is helping me to develop my skills further and at the same time make new contacts in the photographic field.
My favourite subjects are landscapes, wildlife - (especially snow leopards) and nature. Many of these things we ‘see’ everyday but without really noticing them and their beauty and simply take them for granted. With busy lives, it is sometimes not until we view them in a captured single moment that we can really appreciate how amazing some things really are and it makes it all worthwhile.
Many of the images are taken of the animals at zoos across the UK and specifically Marwell Zoo in Hampshire in recent years and I give thanks to the hard work that they do to continue the care of the endangered animals, without whom I would not be able to take these shots and if you get the chance to support them please do and if you see me there please say hi.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and I hope you enjoy the images in the gallery as much as I have enjoyed capturing them.
