I earned my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physiological Psychology from UGA (go DAWGS!) following which I was trained as a post-doctoral fellow at Yale and Vanderbilt University Schools of Medicine. I then joined the U.S. Navy and earned my 'Wings of Gold' as an Aerospace Experimental Psychologist where I served proudly on active duty for 7 years.
As I transitioned from wearing a uniform to being a full-time mom, I had the wonderful opportunity to develop a hobby. My sweet husband bought me a Nikon dSLR and I started snapping everything in sight. Folks started telling me I 'had an eye' which encouraged me to delve into photography as a serious student. I read scores of books and articles, took online courses, and attended a variety of photography workshops and seminars to improve my technique as a photographer. As my skills improved, so did my arsenal of professional-grade photography gear, including the construction of a beautiful photography studio.
I discovered the world of stock photography a few years ago and that's when I started earning a steady income from the sale of my images. I also began shooting client work...from family photos to headshots, senior photos, and event photography. I feel so blessed to earn a living doing something I love!
