Caylena Cahill

Currently based in the greater New York City area, Caylena Cahill is a freelance photographer, videographer and writer. She is a 2010 graduate from Ithaca College with two degrees: B.S. Cinema and Photography (Concentration: Still Photography), B.A. French, and a minor in journalism.

During college Ms. Cahill was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend time abroad in Europe, where she developed much of her photographic style and other life skills. Her time spent in France and Italy also allowed her to travel, thus teaching her the freedoms and inspiration that it offers.

Ms. Cahill worked with Fuse Magazine, writing blogs, articles, and taking photographs. She also partnered with The Ithacan, the Ithaca College student weekly newspaper, where she wrote articles and took photos. Her position as the Marketing Assistant at the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes offered her professional experience in public/media relations and marketing in the non-profit sector.

Ms. Cahill spent the last year in south-eastern France as an English assistant in a high school. The experience taught her a lot about herself and allowed her to define her values and professional goals - as well as significantly improving her French. She kept a blog of her experiences and observations here.
