Carol grew up on a cattle farm in remote Needmore, Arkansas. After receiving her degree in Computer Science from Arkansas Tech University in 1982, Carol moved to the Washington, D.C. suburbs. She relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1997.
Always artistic, Carol discovered watercolors in 2005. Using her self-taught technique, she focuses on pet portraits, but her work includes a vast array of subjects painted from photographs. Her donated paintings are raffled off each year at the Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival in Waldron, Arkansas to raise money for cancer research in memory of her mother and a childhood friend. She has also donated her paintings to the United Way, the Florida Writer’s Association and many pet rescue organizations.
Carol is a member of the Florida Writer’s Association. She is writing a series of science fiction/fantasy novels.
