Thanks for visiting my art page.
I am a beginning artist. Beginning as in looking to art as a profession. I have always had an interest in and a desire to pursue this avenue. Now that I have the opportunity (time), I am really excited about it. Unfortunately, I am not a millionaire (not even a thousandaire) so my production of new works may be slowed at times. I didn’t even know that art sites were available until a few months ago. This wonderful community is filled with many people like me and many more that have the skills to be where I wish to be in the future. I know that everyone has a different taste in art, I hope you will like mine. If you are an artist, collector or someone who just happened onto my page, please let me know what you think of it. The good, the bad, the ugly or perhaps the great (actually if you like it this much, just buy it). I will not be offended by any comment that you make, perhaps disappointed. If it is really, really, really bad, I would prefer an email (you can find it on this page). I will not give up. If you have suggestions on how I could sell my first piece (I can’t wait to strike this off the list), to get me started, I would appreciate these pointers also.
PAINTINGS
My paintings are inspired by my surrounding area. I like to paint the everyday (perhaps with a twist), there is a ton of beauty everywhere. Golden Overgrown is a tree that I used to drive by almost everyday and never really noticed it but one day it caught my eye. It’s one of my favorites now (the tree and the painting). On most works, I strive for a painterly painting. Brush strokes are captivating. The paintings that you see are all fairly new, the paintings painted during my “amateur” (chuckle) stage are locked away in the closet and will most likely stay there. I believe I have made great strides in the color theory department and know that I still need to work on it. Any suggestions here will also be taken seriously.
