I was born in Cetinje, small town in Montenegro. That's where I grow up - at the Mediterranean, between the Adriatic sea and the high mountains. Most of my life I am a scientist, a Doctor of Social Sciences, specilized in Sociology. Most of my life i am also a university professor in Serbia and Montenegro. I have published a number of books and scientific research papers.
But, all my life, I am a painter.
Forty years ago I started to paint professionally and have my first exhibitions. Since the eighties, that was oil on canvas, mostly landscapes on medium and small formats, rarely big formats and still life. Since the end of the eighties my painting become expressionistic, with a strong contrasts and conflicts of colors. Since the early nineties my pictures occasionally become more abstract and more fauvist in character.
I studied painting from one of the greatest Serbian and Paris painters of the other half of the twentieth century, member of the Serbian Academy of Arts, Milorad Bata Mihailovic. My first exhibition was in 1974. Since then, i have organized fourteen solo exhibitions and participate in many others.
