HEIDELBERG ROMANCE
History of Heidelberg Romanticism:
The Heidelberg Romanticism is wellknown as an emotional and lyrical direction of literature and fine arts in the 19th century. Between 1804 and 1808, poets like Achim von Arnim, Clemens Brentano, Joseph von Eichendorff and Hölderlin visited Heidelberg. They were walking along the philosophers way and enjoyed the beautiful view on the Heidelberg Castle, the Old Bridge and the Old City. The poets were inspired by romance and nature, flying on the wings of love.
