Blanche Guernsey is the Party Coordinator at AVA Community Art Center in Gillette, WY. She grew up in Gillette with a love of art that continues today. As an artist, she is mostly self taught, and although her medium of choice is pastels, she has begun to experiment with other mediums. Her passion for people is evident in her work and is inspired by her husband and five children. She has always been drawn to the facial features of her models, and although she works with clients from all ages, children are her favorite subjects. Guernsey has done portraits for clients from Wyoming to Alabama and has completed pieces that hang in a permanent display at Gillette College.
