The Monument Rocks Collection
A collection of photographs taken at Monument Rocks, located between Oakley and Scott City Kansas in Gove County. Monument Rocks was designated a U.S. National Natural Landmark in 1968, the first chosen National Natural Landmark. Monument Rocks, also known as Chalk Pyramids, reach a height of 70 feet and includes formations such as buttes and arches. They were formed an estimated 80 million years ago. I have been visiting Monument Rocks since 1986. Always looking forward to another trip in the near future.
