I am an artist by heart who after so many years has finally found a passion that I cannot live without. I bought my first professional DSLR camera in 2009 when I was in my late-thirties and just absolutely fell in love with photography. I dove into as many books as possible and learned as much as I can by myself. I have attended professional workshops and still do to this day, because I feel I can always improve my skills. I work full-time; I have a great wife and two beautiful kids, and the hardest part has been the act of balancing my life. Luckily for me, my family has been big supporters of my work and they continue to cheer me on with each step I take. Yes, I have big dreams! I don’t know where this road will lead me to, but putting up a roadblock is not an option. Each trip out with a camera has brought new meaning to my life and looking back on these short years as a photographer, I can’t believe all the places that I have already traveled, and all the places that are still on my wish list. Accomplishments? I was awarded 1st place in the 2011 National Cherry Blossom contest with the image ‘Reflection of Spring’. That winning photo has gained some notoriety since winning. National Geographic picked it up for a book print in 2012 by Ann McClellan and it was inducted into the National Library of Congress the same year. My image, ‘A Morning To Remember,’ has been licensed for worldwide distribution with Mood Entertainment out of Canada. And last, ‘Summer Wind’ of Moraine Lake was picked up for a puzzle company in Brazil in 2012. These accomplishments are nice and rewarding but these were just small bumps that happened along my way. I believe my biggest accomplishment has been my continued growth, love and passion for nature. I’m having a time of my life, and I can’t even imagine myself without a camera in my hands ever again. Thank you for stopping by and viewing my images. Best of Light!
