Barbara LeMaster

I am an artist who has worked in many mediums and styles. I am now in my seventies and can't remember a time when I didn't draw or paint. I grew up in Nappanee, Indiana . Later in life I lived in California on the ocean and then moved to Utah near the ski slopes of Brian Head where my husband and I purchased and ran a beautiful restaurant which sat at the base of a mountain.
My life took a turn at this point, my husband passed away and shortly afterward my oldest daughter also passed away. At that time I returned to Indiana. For a while all I stopped all creative work but God began to heal my broken heart and I began to paint again.
I am now living on the Arkansas/Missouri line. I live in the country and I'm surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, chickens, coyoties and more. .
Each place I've lived has had an effect on my creativity and added to me as a person. The most important parts of life to me are people and animals and I love to put them in my artwork.
I have sold my artwork all through my life. If it didn't move I painted on It: canvas, wood, mural rocks, furniture, surf boards, clothes and the list goes on. To me my faith in God and my family come first and are where I draw strength from.
