Newfoundland Sketches
This gallery includes digitally created illustrations of paintings and photographs, digital sketches and art with and without borders. Many of these images pertain to a hundred years or more in the history of the island of Newfoundland when the people came here from the British Isles. Newfoundland was a British colony until 1949. This is not life today. This gallery contains digital sketches of an old way of life, the hardships people endured, the tools that were used to eek out a living. Some of the images that came from blocks in my Heritage Quilt have wrinkles and folds that I decided to leave in the print because they add to the character of the pieces. These would make perfect throw pillows or fleece blankets as well as prints of nostalgia.
