Barbara Colangelo

A resident of Sarasota Florida, I am originally from Ocean, New Jersey. After graduating from the Newark School of Fine Art, I designed for the Dan River Textile Company in New York City creating designs for fabric, and then taught art to elementary school students. During that time I owned my own art gallery, “The Art Loft”, which provided a location for local New Jersey artists to exhibit and sell their work.

I have been creating art since I was a child and I have painted in all media. I favor watercolor, sometimes with pen and ink detail, and acrylic textures. This creativity offers a distinct appearance to each painting, resulting in diverse styles. My passion for beautiful colors and flowers reflects in my art.

My paintings have been exhibited, sold and displayed in local and national juried shows and galleries. I have received awards for my artwork and have numerous paintings in private and public collections worldwide.
