Pippa Bayley
Tauranga artist Pippa Bayley has been painting and drawing since her childhood and produced her first oil in 1974. She was selected to and attended the Dunedin Polytechnic Art School in 1976 (King Edward School of Fine Art). She gained an Adult Teaching certificate and exercised her artistic ability over the years, taking lessons with the late Heinz Boinka and Paul Coney. She has exhibited with art groups and stand alone exhibitions at several locations and began producing charcoal portraits for the public from quick sittings. Her style is varied as she plays with photorealism and equally enjoys impressionism and textured decorator pieces. Her range covers water scenes, architecture, still life, horses, portraiture and abstract works and she loves oils as well as acrylics, using top quality artists pigments and charcoal for portraitures and black and white studies. She works portraits from sittings or emailed photos. Phone: (07) 544 5036.
