Spirit of place, a rush to my soul. Everywhere, there is a special moment to capture.......a flower in sweet light, a bird in flight, a majestic mountain, a pounding surf on an artistic shoreline. It is all here to be discovered through the art of seeing. From old barns and abandoned places to the last rays of sunset and interesting faces, all in-waiting to be preserved forever. For over 25 years, I have been 'chasing the light' and creating fine art with my photography. As you go through my galleries, you will see that I love all aspects of photography. It is the light, texture and composition that inspires me. I spent many years in the dark room having a love affair with black and white photography. I would spend Saturday morning in the dark room printing images on fiber-based paper and then Sunday morning hand painting them. The dark room is a magical place! I have been shooting digital for several years now but I will always miss picking up my slides, rushing home to my light table to look at my images for the first time through my expensive loupe! What a rush! I am an avid gardner which gives way to my Flower Art collection. All of my flower images were shot in natural light as they grew in my garden during morning mist and early evening sweet light. Through the magic of macro (close-up) photography, I have fallen in love with dragon flies and butterflies and other tiny garden creatures. I have fine art giclee prints from fiery New England sunsets to a western boot collection in downtown Santa Fe. It is not hard to pick up a camera, point it at a subject and click the shutter. What makes a photograph unique is to shoot that same subject in just the right light while tweaking the composition, creating a dramatic effect. And then, taking that same photograph and hand painting it with artist oils or digitally, transforming the image to a one-of-a-kind great moment in time. For me, photography is not just a business, it is my passion. I do all my own printing with state of the art printers using pigment archival inks and fine art archival substrates which affords me greater control over the printing process to assure the best possible product for my clients. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating and sharing it.

Note: The resolution of my printed photographs is significantly higher than the on-screen resolution. The file size of the photographs you are viewing must be greatly reduced for ease of opening and viewing from my Web site. My actual photographs have dense rich color and amazing detail and clarity. The giclee printing process I use renders my photographs like paintings!

PORTRAITS - I strive to capture the unguarded moment and bring true your spirit into the lens. Do you have a graduating senior? Let me create his / her senior portrait in my garden studio with perennials, a pond and waterfall with Japanese koi and a rock garden! A beautiful natural setting with evergreen arbors and ivy covered trees. Call for an appointment and we can discuss the best approach and value for your senior portraits.

PHOTO RESTORATION - Have you come across some old cherished photos of family and / or friends that are damaged, faded or speckled with age? Or maybe your most cherished photos have been displayed for years, exposed to heat or light, maybe stuck to a refrigerator and now have visibly faded or discolored with time. I can restore, enlarge and reprint them for you. You may want that old photograph restored to black and white and then selectively hand painted. I can create a work of art from most photographs.
