Hello and welcome.
It all started years ago (and I mean very many years ago!) when I was a kid. I happened to get a small set of oil paints and some brushes for Christmas. You know the little sets, the small tubes and a small bottle of linseed oil? That was the beginning of it all! I found a passion that inspires me in every aspect of life. For some, it is the words or music, for me it is the visual art of drawing and painting. My family received most of my paintings and drawings for Christmas presents. I have had several breaks from my art due to raising my own children and too much work, but I have always returned to it.
Growing up in a rural community outside of Baton Rouge, La. allowed me to enjoy all of the beauty 'Mother Nature' had to offer. We often took family vacations throughout the country, where I saw even more beautiful places. My favorite places are still close to home, in the old fishing holes my dad brought me to.
I keep trying to achieve the effects of the pure beauty of nature in everything I do. Even though I am a self taught artist, I hope my art will peak your interest and appeal to your eye.
