I live in the north country of Ontario, near the shores of Lake Superior, which is the largest freshwater lake in the world.

I have always had an interest in art and painting, even as a young girl in elementary school. Living my whole life in this area has been a wonderful teacher. It has taught me a sincere appreciation that this unique picturesque region is truly a diamond in the rough.

With it's pristine boreal forests, clean flowing rivers, crystal clear inland lakes, and rugged shorelines of Lake Superior, this is one of the only places of untamed wilderness, left on our earth. Both when I was a child, and to this present day, I feel I am so fortunate for living near, and camping along the shores of beautiful lakes, often seeing wildlife in their natural habitat.

In creating these finely detailed scenes on canvas, I find great pleasure in being able to portray my love, passion, and respect for this area. I feel my paintings are like an open window, depicting it's natural rugged scenery, and abundant wildlife. They impact each individual in a positive manner, encouraging appreciation and responsibility, for this wonderful world we live in. Our planet becomes smaller every day, with population and pollution growing at an alarming rate. I feel it is my heartfelt duty and honour to contribute in protecting this land and wildlife, so it remains unaffected by man's intrusion, so we leave nothing but footprints.

It is my wish and hope that long after I am gone, my paintings will always be a pleasure to rest your eyes upon, and that this special area in Northern Ontario I call home, will remain clean and beautiful.
