As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to paint. In 2008 I finally got serious and started to paint. I am self-developed, gaining knowledge of how to paint mostly from practice and books. My taste is eclectic and I have a special fondness for flower and figurative painting. I paint from life and from my own photographs. After extensive work-related travel through Europe and the United States, my family and I permanently settled in the Pacific Northwest. Living in the Pacific Northwest with its picturesque landscapes, mountain ranges, forests, and waterways, I am constantly inspired by nature and subjects encountered through daily living.
I have worked in the financial planning, investment, and insurance field for more than 20 years. Although I don't paint for a living, I continue to paint because I enjoy painting. Some of my paintings are in private collections in Europe and the United States.
I also love photography, theater, jazz and classical music.
