Alicia VanNoy Call specializes in animal art and pet portraits in vivid color, otherwise known as DawgArt! She grew up in Arizona, and takes the inspiration for her bright artwork from the desert Southwest.
Alicia began self-taught painting, acrylic on canvas, in 2003. DawgArt has shown in various venues throughout Arizona and Utah. Alicia's goal in painting the way she does is to make the viewer smile.
She began attending university in 2009 and in 2011 she was accepted into the BFA program at Utah Valley University where she studies Illustration. Alicia's artwork can be found on Etsy, Facebook, deviantART, CafePress and Zazzle. She sells print reproductions as well as originals. Alicia also takes commissions. Alicia is an advocate of no-kill animal rescue. She works with various rescue and shelter organizations through the U.S. Alicia donates a portion of her proceeds through artwork to rescue organizations to help in fundraising efforts.
Her interests include music and literature. She dabbles in all mediums.
Alicia lives in Provo, UT with her husband, Tyler, and their two pets: Kiko the cat and Toby the dog.
