Mother Earth has sculptured together an amazing work of art we call Hawaii
Aerial, Landscape & Seascape Photographer Al Brown has set out to capture natures beauty as it unfolds
Photographic background :
Al first began teaching himself photography in 2006, mainly from reading online forums and magazines. He then took this knowledge into the field to practice with all the landscapes surrounding him, from the top of the rain forests to sea level along the rugged lava filled coastlines. The Hawaiian islands and his informal training helped Al to develop a unique style and skill that continues to make his photographs instantly appealing and in high demand.
Approach to photography :
Al prefers the amazing rich colors that mother earth provides at dawn and dusk when natural light is at its most spectacular. He uses special equipment to enable him to capture the magic moments naturally at the scene, rather than relying on computer enhancements in the digital dark room.
Professional career :
Ever since Al Brown first began taking photography seriously in 2008. He started at local art and crafts shows on weekends and holidays. From there he moved into a weekly venue at a couple hotels in Waikiki. He now commissions his large metal prints, canvas photos, posters, calendars, postcards and more with businesses, galleries and gift shops around Hawaii. Aside from his passion for nature photos, Al has taken his knowledge into family and model pictures, he is also working with a few musicians on there album covers and already has taken product photos for professional websites.
Personal Bio :
I was born in the highlands of Scotland and raised in San Diego, Ca. I moved to Hawaii in pursuit of a new life and have found what i was searching for. It all starts with uncompromising passion and dedication to what i love as a photographer. From childhood, I was always captivated by nature, and always felt something special when ever i found my self surrounded by it. This feeling grew deeper as i got older and traveled around more. When combined with photography, it has given me the creative outlet that’s always been a central part of my life. I cant imagine it any other way. When im working, whether its standing on a lava shelf at the edge of the blue pacific waiting for the sunset or waking up at 5 am to catch the magic moments as earth releases its beauty over the horizon. There’s nothing else i’d rather be doing with the time we have been given here.
“There is a story behind each picture and by capturing that moment in time can infuse emotions, without expressing words”
