I love to capture the ever changing face of nature, places of historic significance, character in people's faces and details of abstract art. I am a continuous learner of the art of photography.
By profession, I am a lawyer practicing in Sri Lanka. It is an island nation located in the Indian Ocean just below the Indian subcontinent. I am a member of the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka and participated in my first photographic exhibition held in March 2013 titled 'INFOCUS' as a member of the June 2012 batch of the Photographic Society.
Nine photos from my portfolio depicting natural and artificial light has been selected for an exhibition titled 'Light in the Lens' by The Photographic Angle linked to the Royal Society of Photographers UK which will tour Ascot, Maindenhead, Reading and Uxbridge in the months of April and May 2014. My favorite quote:
“You learn to see by practice.
It’s just like playing tennis, you get better the more you play.
The more you look around at things, the more you see.
The more you photograph, the more you realize what can
be photographed and what can’t be photographed.
You just have to keep doing it.”
