I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life.   My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old.   I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958.   I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere.Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal...more

Great Falls Maryland

Officially called The Chesapeake & Ohio National Park on the Maryland side of the Potomac River, and Great Falls Park on the Virginia side, most DC area residents refer to the Maryland side as Great Falls, as well.
