Land shapes Series
The Yukon is a vast, wild land. A land, where you can go out to nature and not meet somebody for days or hours. A beautiful land, the land of the Midnight Sun and long and dark winters. Winters are turning everything in a frozen beauty, reducing everything to shapes, to a landscape in black and white. Although nights can be colourful, the sky filled with the amazing ligths of the Aurora Borealis. The Yukon has a total of 482,443 km2 (186,272 sq mi) and a population of 33,897 peoples. That means a population density of 0.07 /km2 (0.18 /sq mi). 27,889 live in Whitehorse, the Capital City. This series is work in progress, I want to show the serenity, the unforgivness, the beauty of this landscape, where humans are only tolerated, not accepted. This images look the best in a black frame with a wide, white mat.
