Judy first became interested in photography when she and a friend saved their Bazooka Joe bubblegum wrappers to buy a camera. It was cheap and plastic and the roll had to be mailed back in order to get the pictures printed. Judy was instantly smitten. She eventually graduated to a Polaroid camera and loved getting instant results. Later, she got to play with her father’s Petri camera with the pop out lens, and loved the results the larger format negatives produced.
