Statement by the artist: I find most everything around me an inspiration for painting, I love to seek the beauty in everyday life and transform those ideas to my paintings.
I have lived in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho, but I have returned to the Pacific Northwest and have lived here for the last 15 years in Vancouver WA. I have always been drawn to the NW beauty and country side and love to paint landscapes of places I have visited. My lifestyle is filled with adventures by going hiking, bicycling, kayaking, snowshoeing, or walking with my husband and boxer Noel. I usually bring my camera, or sketch pad and will take pictures, and do drawings of the places I visit.
I have worked with oils, acrylics and the last few years, soft pastels. I use many different types of materials for my paintings and under paintings, and Iím always looking for new ways to make my paintings look unique. I consider myself an involving artist and always looking for ways to improve my technique and style. I love the use of color and texture in my art. The North West is my home and I will continue to paint the unique and beautiful landscape and lifestyle here.
