Jackie (all of her friends call her 'Jak') picked up her first camera when she was a child attending 4-H camp. She fell in love and has been taking pictures ever since. Jak strives to find the beauty in things that are often overlooked in our daily lives.

On one photo shoot, Jak had pulled into a cornfield and set up her gear. She was sitting in a lawn chair with her camera remote in her hand waiting for the light to be just right. A man and his son came out of the house across the road, curious about what she was doing. When she told them she was getting ready to take a picture of the barn, the man just shook his head - he obviously didn't share Jak's vision about the beauty of his old barn.

Many people have commented on Jak's ability to transform the ordinary things we take for granted into beautiful nostalgic images that are comfort food for our hearts.

Jak donates her time taking photos of homeless pets for local animal shelters & rescues in the hope that better pictures will give them a better chance to be adopted into a loving forever home. A percentage of her profits are donated to the local animal welfare organizations she works with.
