Gudrun was born and raised in Salzburg, Austria, in an artists family. She received her art education there. Her favorite learning activity is copying the masters of times gone by. She worked from Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Botticelli, Segantini, Renoir, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Monet, Klee, Redon, Cassatt, Hundertwasser, and Picasso.
These exercises helped Gudrun develop her own style and become an outstanding portrait artist. Lately she has explored a more abstract approach with much success. Her art work can be found with patrons in New York, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Louisiana, Vancouver, Austria, and Southern Alberta, where she now resides.
