“I was always interested in the creative process, but have zero artistic abilities as far as drawing and painting goes. The camera allows me to use my eye and not my hands” claims Darcy Evans of Darcy Evans Photography (http://darcyevansphotography.com/), but one could hardly doubt his artistic aptitude upon examining not only his images, but the success that he has experienced in his first year as a professional photographer. Evans has shot publications for Sugarkiss magazine and has also won top macro photo at the Edmonton Photography Trade Show and received an honourable mention from the Alberta Photon Camera Club International Expo where over 4000 entries were received. Despite his success, Evans remains an artistic soul, often cruising through the Alberta countryside and finding inspiration in everyday objects, nature, and people in his life. Evans has a natural affinity for nature photography, and delights in discovering the beauty of everyday objects, and would one day love to travel the world to photograph everything from the mundane to the extraordinary. Until then, Darcy Evans Photography will continue to capture the essence of intrigue and beauty, if not with his pen, then most indefinitely with his lens.
