Photography (self taught) is my main passion. My dad has inspired me with his photographs and I was in the dark room developing my own pictures when I was 14. Most of my photography is done as the 'neighborhood photographer'. At the school of my boys, the community center, mostly to capture an event. These events also take place indoors and it can be a real challenge to find a balance between capturing the situation as it is and making it visible to everyone as a memory, as the lighting situation is usually horrendous :-) I am learning with every picture!
I also take pictures for local magazines.
Back in 2006 I created a lot of fractals, mainly with Apophysis.
I have tried virtually every program you can think of, Tierazon, Ultrafractal, Bryce, DAZ3d, Hexagon, Drawplus, Incendia, etc. It's amazing how many fantastic free programs there are.
There's one thing I still want to try: animation.
In the 'real world' I like to be creative as well, preferably with fabrics. Quilting, patchwork, crocheting, etc. At the moment I am crocheting mini owls (1 x 2 cm).
It's great to see that both my boys (8 & 12) inherited some of my passions. The youngest loves photography and the eldest is super creative with his hands.
