This art did not translate well in this printed card. The foreground detail does not show well, unfortunately. I do love the art itself.

I'm not sure this artwork can be accurately replicated in this format. I may try ordering it as a print to see if that will work better.

The image is a little dark but it is a card I will give at Christmas.
This was taken in one of our landscaped areas, with yellow sedum, a perennial plant that is low growing and spreads well as a ground cover. Actually if you chop it up, dry it out, and spread the dried portions, it will grow more from that procedure. Any bare spots or place other things won't grow well, this is a good solution, as I have planted in rock grouping with this "salad" mixture, water, fertilized and it really did well. The drift wood is hard to come by, but had a friend who gave us this piece. It is unlawful, at least in the state of Wisconsin to remove driftwood from water or beaches! Not sure why, as if it is on shore, it serves little purpose, but the law is the law. I like the combo of the sedum leaves, florets and the weathered wood.
As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film. I have entered several contests in our area, and even won some recognition with my photos. I have posted on Face Book and am now...

A beautiful study in green, Randy! That law about the driftwood seems crazy to me. Do the legislators think that trees grow on the ocean bed? They are meant to grow on land (apart from wetlands, maybe), so why it should be a crime to remove driftwood from beaches is a mystery to me!

What a beautiful gem this is, Mr. Rosenberger! Lovely floral composition complimented brilliantly with the driftwood. Very artistic, so well seen and photographed! F/L
