I was able to get very close to this willet and it's mate while kayaking in Danielson Slough near Cyrus, MInnesota. They were very unafraid of me as I tried to scoot over the reeds to get a better shot. I had to make noise to get them to wake up so I could get some more interesting shots.

My wife, Melissa and I became interested in photography as a hobby while kayaking on a couple of local rivers and lakes and wanted to share the peace and beauty we found with others.
