Nearly all of my inspiration for my paintings comes from nature. I will often start with an image that intrigues me because of it’s detail, colors, or sentimental value. As I paint, however, everything seems to take on an attitude. Painting hour after hour, I think about the image and what it represents or what it could represent. The final works almost always connect metaphorically to human behaviors or personalities. I go back and forth between painting realism and painting my own abstract landscapes. I find that if I stay with one style for too long, I get bored. And that is no way to be. Though I love all media, mainly my paintings are featured in this web-site. I hope to add more of my sculptures and mixed-media...
