My Irish grandparents were the first to encourage the broad tuning of my senses and opening up to the unknown. My childhood passion to become a nurse transferred to the arts, once I recognized that the current practice of conventional medicine did not meet my needs. My intrinsic sense that life is deeply spiritual inspired me to embrace yoga and meditation in 1970. I felt the connection between how our body is an expression of our soul and how our soul expresses itself through the arts. I enjoyed the enrichment of a philosophy major along with earning my BFA at Hartford Art School. My focus was upon drawing, photography and special photographic effects.
