While there are quite a few water towns in the greater Shanghai area, the closest one to central Shanghai and relatively within town, is Qibao.
Wide canals, picturesque Chinese houses, narrow bridges, bustling old shops and authentic chinese fishing boats ... this is Qi Bao, and it feels like being back in "Old" China again!
