The pride of the Czech locomotive design is the class 475, a 4-8-2 steam engine, made by Skoda. Due to the sophisticated design the Czechs call the locomotive "noblewoman". This steam engine runs a special passenger from Prague to Melnik.

My passion is photographing heritage railways. I think it's not difficult to see from my portfolio. I live in Germany near Nuremberg. In this respect, most of my shots were taken in Germany. The train scene in Germany is very much alive and there are many special trains, lots of them are covered with steam locomotives. Also some specialties Germany has to offer: there are narrow gauge railways that realize a daily steam train operation. That is, of course, especially in the winter, an excellent field of activity.
