The corner of College and Magnolia is famous among the Auburn Faithful. Of course it is much better known by its more common name of Toomer's Corner.

Toomer's Corner in downtown Auburn on the edge of Auburn University is an AU Landmark. Students gather after Auburn Football games to roll the Auburn Oaks and the rest of this historic corner of their world.

The corner and downtown was recently renovated and there is now a giant brick tiger paw in the center of the intersection along with two newly planted adult oak trees.

In the Air Force I flew B-1B bombers, T-37 and T-38 trainers, KC-135s and taught counter terrorism CQC defensive tactics for aircrews. I retired from the Air National Guard after 21 years of service. I was also an airline pilot for Midwest Airlines where I flew DC-9s, MD-80s and Boing 717s. All of Midwest's flight-crews were outsourced in 2008 and now I make my living selling art and various other jobs in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
