This painting has become a favorite with viewers and clients alike. I knew she was something special while I was painting her. For me it's something about the mystery, her stance and those high heels! Also, the softening of edges against the texture of the background. She is very nicely framed in a floating frame with a nickel front and black sides.

The original has now sold to a very nice gentleman from Israel. He was nice enough to send me a picture of her in her new home. I was just a little sad to let her go, but knowing how much he loves this painting makes it easier.

As you can see by the majority of Laura's work, seascapes and figurative work are what she is most passionate about. Her Umbrella Series is also a particular favorite of hers and her clients. Laura's new series of Shabby Chic florals is a big hit with her students and clients. She paints full time and enjoys a number of different techniques and styles of painting in her home studio in Walpole MA. Presently you can see Laura and her work at the "Artist's Studio and Gallery at Patriot Place" in Foxboro, MA. The Gallery is open Fri. 5-9, Sat. 1-9 and Sun. 12-6.
