Acrylics were the first medium I tried. It was practical for a young mother to keep an easel up and not worry about the children changing my picture! I had the opportunity to take lessons from Virginia Curry. But over the years, I admired watercolorists and had always wanted to try my hand at their techniques. Retirement has allowed me to do just that. I enjoy taking pictures wherever I go. It might be a sandhill crane or a sunset or an interesting building. These photos then become the inspiration for my art.
