Gorgeous dinnerplate-sized orange dahlias growing in my Alaskan garden reminded me of the firey passion I have for painting. The backlighting and intertwining of the colorful giant blossoms radiated strength, vitality, energy, creativity, and a pure passionate love. The palette-knife painted image resulted from the scene remains one of my personal favorites though the original was snatched up right away. I have a beautiful large reproduction printed in canvas from Fine Art America in my own home that I treasure.
