Artist's Description
Abandoned train tracks in New York City with a view of the New York City skyline including the Empire State Building in the distance. These belong to a rail line that was active along the west side of Manhattan during the early part of the 20th century. It fell out of use in the latter half of the 20th century and nature took over.

Some of these old tracks are part of the linear park, The High Line.
Vivienne Gucwa replied:
This is actually the final part of the High Line. It will be worked on in 2014 to transform it into a public space just like the other sections.
