Artist's Description
Atop Hill Cumorah in Manchester, New York, stands a monument marking the location where Joseph Smith claimed the angel Moroni revealed the Golden Plates of the Book of Mormon. The monument is topped with a golden statue of Moroni holding the tablets; the base is flanked with bronze refliefs retelling Smith's account of the events at Cumorah.
About Stephen Stookey
Stephen Stookey, Ph.D., is a university dean/church history professor/ordained minister by day and photographer by night. Well, not just nighttime; you get the picture.
