Artist's Description
The blue-black sand, volcanic in origin, is coarse, the coastline rocky, and the access to the beach itself difficult to find, but this quiet spot off the Pacific Coast Highway 1 south of Monterey, California, is strangely beautiful. On this foggy day, a lone gull was exploring along the shoreline.
This image can also be seen in dramatic black and white in my By the Water gallery; galleries are arranged alphabetically by title.
