Artist's Description
Latest artwork by Michael Rogers, limited edition prints, only 121 prints available. The original was sold at WSBK Kyalami racetrack in 2009. The painting depicts Troy Bayliss in his world championship glory on the Xerox Ducati 1098R, his profile including severed pinky finger. Troy claimed it was only a "Flesh Wound", hence the title of the painting.
About Michael Rogers
After studying Fine Art at the Witwatersrand Art Academy, Johannesburg , Michael then went on to become a full time Technical Illustrator. Having a passion for art and with his illustrating background , he soon combined the two , his technical accuracy has become an asset in the depiction in his paintings , from Aviation to Formula One, Michael has become one of South Africa’s top Motorsport artists, with unique paintings of famous motorsport stars such as Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna , and Troy Bayliss . His resume of art also includes commissioned wildlife paintings and landscapes, family portraits and famous musicians.
