About Iain McDonald
I am a Scottish artist who tries to create bold and colorful art, it's what I love to see and create. In particular I love portraits, of people and pets. I started painting portraits as a career rather than a hobby because of my friend Stevie, who in the mid 90's asked me to paint his two labrador retrievers as a present for his family. He insisted I could do it, and told me I could make a career from art. Stevie is sadly no longer with us, so my art is dedicated to him. Originally I painted in acrylic and oil, professionally since 2003, and I have sold commissioned portraits from Portrait-Online.com since 2004. Today however I paint using a dedicated art tablet & pen, which removes many of the problems with traditional painting and...
