I am a fine art photographer, graphic/digital artist living in Penticton, BC. Canada. As a fine art photographer you have to dig deeper than merely pushing a button on a camera and capturing an image. You have to encapsulate how you as the artist views the scene, how it makes you feel, and what you want your viewers to see and feel. The camera is just one of many tools photographers processes to help convey these emotions to their viewers.
