LINDA KEGLEY ARTIST STATEMENT I have been creating art in some form or other all of my life. My acrylic creations have culminated into what some may call a “style.”I do enjoy whimsical, slightly offbeat subjects, and in my more realistic pieces, I always want to leave a few items to ponder. In my Punta Gorda Midnight paintings, the clock always reads 9:00 PM, and the only one awake is the gecko. I like to leave something for the viewer to finish; people leaving a scene, an empty glass, and so forth. Working in acrylics has released me from the confines of my past art creations--the constraints of computer graphics, calligraphy and the rigidity of pen and ink renderings.
