“Sabo Artwork will appear in the 2015 National Juried Exhibition”
Loudon, TN- January 21, 2015
Dennis Sabo’s art piece, “Spanish Dancers” was selected into the 2015 National Juried Exhibition, Knoxville, Tennessee. This year’s judge, Stephanie Gerber Darr received nearly 400 submissions from artists in seven states, and 48 pieces from 31 artists have been selected for the exhibit.
Says Dennis about his art work, “The absence of light has always been an important compositional element in my artwork. Areas of light and dark work well together to emphasize the subject and so it was in this impressionistic art piece of a majestic Live Oak covered in Spanish moss on a private island near Hilton Head, NC. My interest is in the natural details; how the environment on a particular day, in a particular light, and at a particular moment in time correlates to my personal vision and interpretation of nature.”
The National Juried Exhibition will be at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture, 100 South Gay Street, Knoxville, TN, from February 6th to February 28th. The Opening Reception will be on Friday, February 6th from 5:00-9:00 PM with awards presented at 6:00 PM.
