Gabriele Frey brings her subtle observations of thoughtlessness, extreme behavior and ambitious vanities on canvas from a woman’s perspective. The pictorial themes appear in front of her inner eye or in dreams. Generation gaps or child abuse, painting means involvement and relief to the artist. Her ‘Computer Kid’ shows a child with mutilated limbs and hollowed eyes. An expression of the situation of many families in the 21st century whose children are left to themselves, spending a great of their time in front of the computer. German text by Lisa Bolz
